Privacy Policy
This policy covers both the Line4 9x8 Android app and this website at line4-9x8.com. Both are made by Quiet Pixel Works. The short version: there is nothing to collect, because neither one sends anything anywhere.
The short version

- no internet permission in the app
Data collection
Line4 9x8 does not collect personal data. The Android app requests no internet permission at all: it ships with local game assets and an on-device neural runtime, so move selection is computed on your own device and never transmitted. The website loads only files served from line4-9x8.com and makes no request to any other origin.
What is stored on your device
A small amount of gameplay state is saved locally so the game behaves sensibly between sessions. None of it identifies you, and none of it leaves your device.

Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup are disabled for the app's local settings. You can erase everything at any time: clear the app's data in Android system settings or uninstall it, and clear site data for line4-9x8.com in your browser.
The review dialog
After you win a game, or once you have solved a number of Tactics puzzles, the Android app may ask Google Play to show its own in-app review dialog - and then not again for a good while. Three things are worth stating plainly about it:
- The dialog is provided and displayed by Google Play, not by this app. Whether it appears at all is Google Play's decision.
- Any rating you submit goes to Google Play under Google's terms - exactly as it would if you rated from the Play Store app. Quiet Pixel Works does not receive it separately, and the app is never told whether you rated or what you chose.
- The win count mentioned above exists only so the app can avoid asking at a bad moment. It stays on your device.
The app still has no internet permission. The review dialog is handled entirely by the Google Play Store app on your device.
Data sharing
Line4 9x8 does not share user data with third parties. There is no advertising identifier, no attribution SDK and no analytics library in the app.
Data deletion
Because nothing is stored on a server, there is no account to delete and no server-side deletion request to make. Removing the local data as described above removes everything.
Children
Line4 9x8 is a board game with no ads, no purchases, no chat and no user-generated content.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of the page changes with it. The previous version was dated 21 May 2026; this version adds the review dialog and the local win count described above.
